Programme Overview and Objective:
Technology advancements within the power sector are keeping the industry in a state of continuous learning and adoption. Integration of Renewable energies, especially wind and solar PV along with efficiency improvement measures are pushing the fossil fuel Stations to accommodate this variable generation which increases the flexibility requirements placed on the overall power system particularly on the supply side. Similarly, higher and more variable residual loads increase flexibility requirements placed on the overall power system. The program aims to facilitate for meeting this challenge.
