Welding plays a significant role during manufacturing of power plant components, during erection as well as during overhauling / maintenance of the power plant. Any welding operation – whether structural welding or pressure parts welding, is required to be carried out as per well-defined Welding Procedure Specification, governed by national or international welding standards. Welding is an intricate science involving large number of variables and therefore it is essential for engineers to know and understand well the welding science, the governing standard, the welding procedure specification, welder qualification tests, the defects involved during welding and how to inspect the welding. This is a 5days certification program to be conducted by certified Welding and NDT experts of “The Welding Institute” (TWI) – Chennai, India (a part of world renowned TWI – UK) and in which after the training an online examination will be conducted as per requirements of CSWIP (Certification Scheme of Welding Inspection Program) – UK, an internationally recognized certification body. Those who qualify in the examination will be given CSWIP Welding Inspector certificate by CSWIP, the certification valid worldwide in all industries.
