Programme Overview and Objective:
Technology advancements within the power sector are keeping the industry in a state of continuous learning and adoption. Integration of Renewable energy, especially wind and solar PV along with efficiency improvement measures are pushing the fossil fuel Stations to accommodate this variable generation which increases the flexibility requirements placed on the overall power system particularly on the supply side. Similarly, higher, and more variable residual loads increase flexibility requirements placed on the overall power system. While challenges have increased and become more and more complex, knowledge on the developments towards flexibility is of utmost importance.
